Note on InBev's bid to take over Anheuser-Busch...We shall see what develops, and if it results in any policy changes.
You knew that Ambev (InBev group, on Brazil) was a major donor campaign to prevent the Brazilian citizen possessing arms and ammunition?
I'm a Beck's Dark man, myself, although there is something more than a little creepy about advertising that you comply with the Reinheitsgebot, a German Purity Law, albeit one from 1516. That, of course, is before they knew about microscopic organisms, so I can only assume it referred to how many rats could be pickled in the barrel and still get a pass...

David, have you tried a Belgian beer called Duvel dark? If you like Beck's Dark, you'll LOVE the Duvel!!!
If I understand the Reinheitsgebot correctly, there's nothing sinister about it. I believe that it stipulates that nothing can be called "beer," if it's made with any ingredients other than water, barley malt, and hops (maybe they permitted cultured yeast, too--I can't remember).
The Belgians, as far as I'm concerned, make the best beer in the world--if they start making Bud Light, they'll be taking quite a step down.
As far as A-B policy on Missouri legislation: "The proposition is so vaguely worded that people **with permits** could carry..." many places where they USED TO be able to carry without one.
I don't get excited anymore when we're tossed a bone for PR purposes. They know who drinks their product. InBev being too obviously pro-gun-control MIGHT make a difference, but Busch has those theme parks, Busch Gardens Tampa Florida and Williamsburg Virginia. You and your diaper bags are searched when you go through the main gate. They poke around with a little dowel rod in case there are any naked syringes, you dopehead you, and of course no weapons at all like even pocket knives 'coz we're all killers waiting to take out someone who cuts in line. No metal detectors YET, UNlike the nearby Kings Dominion park, where in spite of that gang members from DC toss knives over the wall and slice and dice their rivals on Peaceful Coexistence Day.
Anyway, the Missouri CCW law would be even more "lax" than here in Virginia, and that means increased safety for everyone. So if A-B does the right thing for the wrong reason, it's still a good thing.
" "Unlike the gun lobby, Handgun Control does not call for a boycott of a corporation’s products because they take a position different from ours," Mrs. Brady said."
[Because OUR SIDE is not at risk of losing anything, Mrs. Brady THOUGHT TO HERSELF.]
{frantically checking beer bottles}
OK, I apparently don't bother drinking anything made by them.
Mmmmmm pickled rats.
Piss on people who aren't smart enough to distill whiskey.
The reinheitsgebot includes yeast at this time. However, it was originally passed not as a "purity" law for consumer safety, but rather as a way to break the Roman Catholic monopoly of brewing herbs called gruit. Prior to the widespread use of hops, when you wanted to make beer you went to the local church or monastery and bought gruit herbs so you could brew.
Free useless trivia.
Becks is in the InBev line up. http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/inbev-makes-46-billion-offer/story.aspx?guid=%7B6655DBAE-7037-4A43-886C-C12194333DD4%7D&dist=msr_2
