Ryan Horsley, manager of Red's Trading Post in Twin Falls, says sales of assault-type rifles, such as military-style AR-15s, have jumped, far outselling traditional, bolt-action hunting rifles.Indeed. And the biggest stinkers always seem to have the biggest "buts."
"It's really unpopular to say you are not a fan of the Second Amendment, so what you have to look out for are the 'buts,' " Horsley told The Times-News. "What you often hear is a candidate saying something like, 'I support the Second Amendment, but we need to ban certain guns.' "
BUT it's always nice to see an uptick in preparedness planning...

So that means that there is going to be a surge in crimes with "assault weapons" now. All those criminals buying them certainly are going to use them for hunting or anything legal.
sarcasm off
Seen last evening by me ....
Man walks to the counter and purchases $685 worth of 5.56 NATO ammunition (close to 2k rounds). He had a small wad of bills and asked that the remaining balance be put on his credit card. The verbal exchange between the man and the salesperson went something like this:
Salesperson: "Getting ready, huh?"
Man: "Yep. I don't think Tuesday is going to go our way."
Six people in the store (counting me) and every single one was making a purchase. I was the only one that bought ammo only. The man already mentioned bought ammo and placed a weapon (didn't see what it was) on layaway. A man in a suit purchased a S&W M&P pistol. Two others were purchasing AR style rifles. The last man was buying what looked like an M1A.
I was the last one in line. It was a long wait. For some reason, I couldn't help but smile at the irony. "The Lightworker" was scheduled to speak less than a few miles from this store the following night (tonight).
Which means Ryan is............ with us!
