OPERATION BOARD GAMES | Feds charge political power broker William Cellini with conspiring to shake down a Hollywood producer for $1.5 million for a Blagojevich campaign fund...
What an operation. And it is a game to the manipulators.
But I'm not laughing when I hear about "republicans," and rich ones at that, conspiring with democrats to undermine our rights, which is what Blago's all about.
Someone must have removed my funny bone.
If I'd had time this morning, I'd have reworked the graphic, replacing the joke body part names with words like "Ethics" and "Morality." Except, realistically, you'd need to reverse the way the game is played, and put those things into the holes.

He's not a Republican; he represents "the combine." Democrats and Republicans who consolidate power with a few brokers and dole it out as patronage. It's the statewide version of the Chicago Machine.
Cellini was Treasurer of the Sangamon County GOP, for instance, while his Asphalt Pavers Association and his businesses in that industry were writing big checks to Blagojevich. Cellini greases whoever can do a job for him.
He crosses lines, but every article I can find about the guy IDs him as a republican. He even seconded Gerald Ford's nomination at the RNC in '76. That "R" may be with an "INO" after it, but that applies to a good many party faithful.
Blago will soon pay.
Hopefully the feds go at him with the relentlessness that they treated Olofson and Fincher to.
The difference being that Blago will deserve what he gets.
