We're the Only Ones Getting the Thumbs Up Enough

A police officer will not face charges related to a 3-year-old boy shooting himself in the thumb outside a Gastonia liquor store with the off-duty cop’s personal firearm. [More]
No, of course not. Did anyone really think he would?

Which is fine, because we'll need this guy out there catching North Carolina scofflaws out there who are bearing arms in defiance of the Hurricane Earl emergency edict...you know, the one that exempts "Only Ones"--even those who let their small children shoot themselves--because of their superior trustworthiness and training...

One commenter points out that the 911 call has the mother saying SHE accidentally shot the child.
Not part of the gun culture, curious, untrained... oops.
Muzzle blast at contact range, and I would think the 3-year-old wouldn't have been shooting himself IN the thumb. It would be "What thumb?"

I notice them cops are sure in a forgiven' mood, when it's one of their own.
