Self-appointed experts who operate from a framework of theories, assumptions, and conclusions that are impenetrable to the common man are already in possession of considerable power over individual liberty. This has been a goal since before
disinstitutionalization, which was
before many of this site's readers were born. Yes, dumping the truly disabled onto the streets was a project, inter alia, of the so called civil liberties establishment. It's the dialectic.
