This just in from Nevada Firearms Coalition:
Our esteemed NW Director John Jorgensen was a delegate at the Republican NV Convention. Through his diligence and persistence, he was able to get the attached as part of the Republican platform. John was helped by several key people, but I really think if it wasn’t for his hard efforts, this would have never came about. This just proves what dedicated people can do against the carpetbagger money. Thanks John!!Also:

It’s ironically fitting that this resolution is mentioned in conjunction with the NRA website “initiative.” A party resolution of this nature is on a par with the sort of resolution that names September 19th “State Boysenberry Pie Appreciation Day.” It’s not going to be headlining the nightly news, it’s not going to appear in the newspapers, it’s not going to be debated in the legislature, it’s not going to result in advertising coverage. It’s going to appear on the state GOP website, and the state rights associations are going to get a lovely parting certificate that says, “See, guys, we’re on your side.” Not to fault John for what he accomplished, but he got bought off by experienced glad-handers with a political gesture of absoluely no practical value.
I have similar sentiments about NRA's minimal involvement but don't want to say more at this time because the Nevada guys don't need me naysaying their efforts at this time. God bless 'em-- I wish I had a million bucks to hire some media pros.
