Melinda Westmoreland, assistant district attorney of Tarrant County, unilaterally decided that the mere presence of a weapon near a police officer somehow interferes with the officers ability to do his job. [More]I remember talking about the related Villalba bill when it came out a year earlier. The thing is, after no small amount of public furor, it was dropped.
So does this mean if you're lawfully carrying, openly or concealed, and you see abuse under color of authority, you need to back off from recording anything until you disarm? Or does this just mean "laws" are what the enforcers say they are?
