Actually more "social workers" in schools is not a bad idea. My daughter is exactly that....and a LOT of elementary students aren't getting the life skills they need at home. She does her best when they are at school. The issue is NOT social workers in school. The issue is most of them are like most teachers and bureaucrats....flaming commies. My daughter is a distinct minority in education... conservative. PROPER intervention and counseling can make an enormous improvement in outcomes for students.
