A co-worker once refused to touch a Native Mode LAN Interconnect circuit because NMLI (pronounced "nimlee") sounded too close to NAMBLA.
A talk with the boss got him straightened out and the customer got service on his Gigabit Ethernet in plenty of time to meet the desired due date.
A running joke used to be about our managers going to the wrong "UNIX" convention.
