But it wasn't enough for some to have Ukraine divest itself of the considerable stockpile of Soviet nuclear weapons and lauchers. The also convinced Ukraine to divest itself of a considerable stockpile of conventional arms, and then signed a treaty guaranteeing Ukraine's independence and integrity.
Who was instrumental in getting all of that done? Well, it was freshman Senator Barak Husein Obama (D-IL), that's who!
