Defending the Defenders
“We will continue to guard recruiting and reserve centers,” Rhodes shot back in a clarifying update for those perceiving the policy letter had the force of law. “If we were to stand down and stop protecting the recruiters that would just put them back where they were—unarmed and defenseless.” [More]My latest GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column is now online.
The New Normal
Sex with robots to be 'the norm' in 50 years, expert claims [More]I don't doubt it, at least among "progressives." Still, you have to wonder what qualifies someone to claim the title of "expert" in this perversion.

Yeah, I feel just great knowing the "authorities" are demanding even more power to use mental health justifications for additional citizen disarmament, especially seeing in their minds, the same criteria for suspicion of domestic terrorism apply.
And I love Mayor and Manager Weaselword having to "verify that appropriate protocols were followed."
Pulling a gun on a citizen is not an appropriate protocol. Still having a gun in hand while turning your back to the person it was pulled on is not appropriate protocol. If these two think it is, they're as crazy as their badged bully boy, who [SURPRISE!] is referred to in the CBS News story as "the unnamed officer," and who was only scared away because he realized being recorded involves personal consequences.

FBI Alert?
COLORADO, FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION, WYOMING (U//FOUO) FBI Alert: Middle-Eastern Males Approaching Family Members of US Military Personnel [More]Public Intelligence has a good reputation for not going off half-cocked and spreading spurious or unvetted stuff. Still, it pays to be cautious, for instance, documents can be forged and the best of us can be fallible, so when the alert advised "Comments and queries may be addressed to the DENVER Division at 303-629-7171," I took 'em up on it.
The guy at the switchboard put me through to their media liaison, a special agent, actually, and her voice message advised if I wanted a timely answer, to send an email.
Fair enough. I prefer things documented anyway, so I wrote:
I am a member of the news media and a field editor for GUNS Magazine. I am attempting to determine the authenticity of the SIR presented at the Public Intelligence website: https://publicintelligence.net/fbi-middle-eastern-males/ As this is already making the rounds on the internet, and evidently on the verge of gaining wider notice, the FOUO notice no longer seems much of a deterrent. Can you confirm if it is authentic? And received back:
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any information on the authenticity or contents of the document you sent. Our standard practice is to neither confirm nor deny investigations or comment on bulletins provided to law enforcement partners. Thank you,Reading between the lines...
If anybody knows anyone who received this alert in an LE capacity and I can validate that, tell them I offer the same source protection guarantees the Fast and Furious guys came to trust me 'n Mike over -- not that I'm holding my breath, but I gotta try.

That's a pretty nice house and neighborhood for a trooper's salary. Come to think of it, we know the kids' names and we even know the name of his neighbor from two doors down... The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.

Bullet Points
A more practical manner of reducing gun deaths is strict bullet control at least as serious as with driver’s licenses. Licenses of several levels like level one for limited # bullets for a 22. To own high capacity clips or clips for guns with more than one bullet at a time must have advanced level bullet certificates for mental health and from police every two years. To own high caliber bullets or clips with more than a few bullets you would have to have training similar to an officer. Licensees would also have to keep records of their bullets like pharmacists do with narcotics. How many they have, who they give or sell them to, how they were used (target practice, etc). [More]No.

[M]y 6th grade teacher was sometimes called “4 and a quarter finger man” from a old shop incident.A college buddy told us about his shop teacher who was cautioning them on how he lost his finger in a negligent table saw incident, and in his demo proceeded to cut off another finger.

Our circulators were illegally harassed by employees of the Oregon Democracy Fund at the Lane County Fair, stopping them from gathering signatures on our recall petition. We’re grateful that leaders like Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are standing with women that are exploited rather than pimps and Johns. [More]Hey, what happened to "a woman's right to choose"? And how do they factor -- what do they call it now,
Gosh, this being a privileged "progressive" with consistent positions is more difficult than I thought.
Speaking of Meryl, where's that movie she and Harvey were gonna make? Did approached investors ask him if he was f-ing crazy?

* Beats me what it means. I read the definition and still don't get why the term is needed. It sounds like it's because people are afraid to say "normal."
The Power of "No"
Put simply, liberal elitists don’t like the fact that, at the end of the day, an armed citizenry can tell them, “No.” [More]Bravo. Good piece. Nice to see the concept getting wider play.
Those on "our side" trying to appear "reasonable" for the media, and calling "I Will Not Comply" activists "extremists," need to understand that at the end of the day, when their lobbying and lawsuits have failed to provide redress, the new paradigm is kicking in.
Except, as observed before, civil disobedience is not really new. It's just that gun owners have long been conditioned to limiting themselves to signing on to form emails, voting for compromised candidates and opening their wallets. That's changing.
To those unsure of if massive noncompliance can result in real, fundamental, 180° political change, I have one word: Prohibition.

Fortunately, the type of lumps that immerse themselves in Bunim/Murray crap will provide a ready source of softer-target cannibal food when TSHTF!
It's telling though -- take their skank-infested "Bad Girls Club" -- please:
If the cast members engage in violence towards each other or break other rules, they may or may not be evicted under the show's policy, which is enforced by the producers. Security guards apparently live in the house behind the scenes as they jump into camera shot to break up the many violent altercations that break out on the series. So Bunim/Murray's execs have the wherewithal to hire security when they perceive a need. And their 'reality stars" are self control-challenged, violence-prone headcases. How ... unsurprising.

"Autonomous"
Noting the definition of the word and the certainty that this will enable all kinds of further tracking and control, and further noting that for "progressives," every day is Opposite Day, for some reason, I can't get an Inigo Montoya quote out of my head..
But hey, it's:
Not to mention cyber-tyranny!

You have to wonder how much is incompetence and how much is intentional. [More]
You also have to wonder why these people are still in power, including establishment Republicans who enthusiastically cleared a path for an elite globalist, with all that entails.

We're the Only Ones on Probation Enough
A former police chief facing multiple felony charges was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution after pleading no contest Thursday morning to two counts of malfeasance in office ... Initially, Whaley was charged with malfeasance in office, theft and forgery. Prosecutors said he stole seven department-issued guns and transferred them to firearms dealers. It is believed he falsified checks. [More]Hey, I'm sure if you or I had done the same thing...

‘News Report’ Tries to Stir Up Anti-Gun Demand Where Little Exists
The real story, such as one exists, is that a non-event centered around – how many were there, three? – women demanding “gun control” was all the support the Bloomberg Moms could muster in a major metropolitan area following a series of highly-publicized acts of criminal violence. The other story is that a major local television “news” organization sent a crew out to give free publicity to Bloomberg’s machine... [More]The media is so desperate to push an agenda -- and when it comes to useful idiot Moms, they have so little to work with.

Still Anonymous
Gun used in San Francisco pier shooting confirmed to be stolen federal agent’s ... The unnamed federal agent reported the weapon stolen after someone broke into his personal vehicle and stole a bag with his service weapon inside... [More]Why is he still unnamed? Especially after reading:
The gun turned out to belong to a Bureau of Land Management officer who reported it stolen after leaving it in the front of his vehicle. My original concerns stand:
It’s not like there’s no legitimate public interest in identifying the agent or ranger (depending on the story you read). Who is this person, what were the circumstances that led to a gun being left in his/her car and stolen, and are there any prior indicators in this individual’s employment record? Oversight seems especially relevant in an anti-gun town like San Francisco, where aside from a handful of connected elites, traveling around the “sanctuary” with a gun is the exclusive province of “Only Ones” ... Do you doubt, had a gun been stolen from your car and then used in a murder, that not only would your name be widely spread (and smeared by gleeful antis painting you as a typical, irresponsible ammosexual), but that you’d be lucky to escape serious criminal charges, and crippling civil ones as well? The media, which has no interest in being a government watchdog on gun issues, is not going to do its job and find this out for us. That means if there's any chance, it's dependent on pressure coming from somewhere else -- like me and maybe you.

We're the Only Ones Preferential Enough
The Methuen police department gave preference to job candidates who said they wouldn’t arrest relatives or fellow officers for drunken driving, the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission found. [More]What's the big deal? Maybe they're better trained to drive drunk than the rest of us.

Christie’s Bullying Tirade Deflects from Having to Answer Tough Questions on Guns
Pointing out bills he did not support does not tell us what he does favor. Likewise, dismissing a 1995 campaign ad by asking if his questioner had not changed his mind in 20 years does not answer what Christie changed his mind to. What he avoided with all the skill of a seasoned political animal, was explaining – unequivocally — where he stood on the right to keep and bear arms and how he has shown leadership promoting the Bill of Rights. [More]Want to see what a bully does when confronted? He hides and hopes no one notices. Want to prove that for yourself? Send Christie some questions and watch him ignore them.
Enforce Existing Intolerable Acts!
The "pro-gun" position is strengthening NICS? So we should be arguing prior restraint as a legitimate power for those whose only clear instruction on the matter is "shall not be infringed"? [Watch]
Dershowitz and his ilk want it all. Giving them anything is equivalent to throwing a scrap of flesh to circling jackals on the assumption they'll leave you alone.
Some of us aren't backing down from "Repeal existing Intolerable Acts."
And until that happens, defy them.

But they further modeled their approach on a program "evolved" from Ceasefire? Good one!
Me, I think the sidelined (read "not caught") gangbangers ought to organize and demand a raise. With Opposite Day "progressivism" in play, that would mean they'd go back to "work" until their demands were met.
By the way, thanks for the crime "statistics," Devone. Citing you as the source will be most helpful. Just one question: Noting "The city gave ONS $1.2 million for its operating budget last year," what's your cut of the take?
