Notorious Projection

Two antigovernment militia groups, including the notorious Oath Keepers, have been tapped to run “private security” for the rally. [More]
I guess after their first attempt at inspiring a domestic terrorist to attack pro-marriage/pro-life advocates failed to amass the desired body count they need to amp up the rhetoric.

And oh, look:

Jeez guys, can we all use that word now? Or is it reserved for our virtue-oozing superiors?

They didn't even spell it out on"Raw Story" where SPLC linked to, and in any case, there is absolutely no evidence as to who the perpetrator is. I guess any acknowledgement that such obscenities so often turn out to be self-serving hoaxes would not help advance the hate profiteer agenda.

Peace!

Longtime readers will note things slow down around here on weekends, generally limited to announcements promoting my work. That doesn't mean I'm not busy with the myriad things behind the scenes to keep that work happening, and it's also a time for much-needed personal downtime and family interactions.

That does not stop the tips from coming in by the score. I currently have 133 emails I have not yet had time to look at, and most of those are links to articles I'm being asked to read and then comment on.

I'm sorry. There's one of me. I just can't get to them all.

I appreciate that people care enough to take time out of their lives to want to share things with me, and also appreciate most of those things are important. So I apologize that I can't return the consideration many of you show me.

Please don't take it as me being unappreciative and ungrateful. I'm quite the opposite, especially for your understanding on this.

Counting on Ignorance

Is This Anti-Pelosi, Pro-Gun Pennsylvania Democrat Showing His Party The Way To Win Back Trump Voters? [More]
Well let's just see about that:
There are only four real options on immigration, Lamb explains. One, try to kick every undocumented immigrant out. Two, legalize the Dreamers—undocumented immigrants brought here as children—but try to kick out all the other migrants here illegally. Three, “the Dreamers obviously should stay,” and “the other 11½ million people, who knows how they got here, but they’re here, they’re in the shadows, that’s not really helping anybody, [so] let’s find a way to pull them out [of the shadows.]” And then there’s four: no change, continue the current policies.
“I really believe that if you present those four options to people, 90 percent choose option three,” he says, adding that he also supports increased border security, but at ports of entry, not a wall.
This is the self-defeating inevitability when Fairfaxian 3-D chess falling back on the fraudulent "single issue" deferral keeps them deliberately silent on the greatest danger gun owners face.

And gun owners who haven't been informed and thought things through will be glad to accomodate.

Whaddya Know: Slim IS Pretty Shady

Eminem attacks NRA in awards show performance [More]
Maybe he should be attacking cowardly assholes who threaten and abuse others with guns, like this out-of-control douchebag:
Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, was charged after he allegedly pistol-whipped John Guerra last June 4th at Hot Rock nightclub in Warren. Eminem claims that he saw Guerra kissing Eminem's now-estranged wife, Kim Mathers. The rapper pled guilty to the concealed weapons count on February 14th. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. As part of the deal, Eminem and his attorneys could have withdrawn the guilty plea if they were unhappy with Vivianio's sentence. The case would have then gone to trial.
Plus he can afford the best lawyers money can buy. No "white /money" privilege there for the punk cuckboy. He not only wasn't smart enough not to get into an altercation, he didn't have the guts to take his "rival" on man-to-man. And what kind of dumb-ass carries and then pulls an unloaded gun (assuming that part is even true)?

And "two years probation" = "prohibited person." But it's OK because Marshhole can also afford an armed bodyguard (and get into an "armed standoff" with him), which makes it easy for him to be anti-your gun.

I guess the kind with the "judgement" to take "up to 60 Valium and 30 Vicodin pills a day," we'll be looking to him as a moral leader real quick.

As for rapper Common adding his two cents, at least he's honest about Demanding Moms. "Progressives" will give him a pass on that and his "homophobia," though, because the greater agenda of advancing the nascent totalitarian state's monopoly of violence is being advanced by this useful idiot.

Besides, who is qualified to care more about children than someone who had his own son aborted and who supports the Margaret Sanger Eugenics Foundation big time?

Talk about excuse-making:
Rarely is abortion discussed in hip-hop, and especially not to the extent that Common does on this single. He appears to have mostly come to terms with the decision, but a somber tone of regret lingers. It makes for a sad story, but knowing that the unborn child's nonexistent life may be better than the circumstances into which it would have been born is oddly satisfying.
Bullshit. That's why a man is supposed to man up and crawl over broken glass if that's what it takes to keep that from happening. Goddamn weakling.

I have not had time to check on this and quite probably will not with the workload I'm facing at the moment. I hope someone who does will, because "experience hath shewn" that sometimes revelations come from unlikely independents.

With that I counsel "press onward" but with a grain of salt, which no one should object to. And I'll add this, possibly but not definitively related, from a story I was working on in January 2015 but did not develop enough credible corroboration to run with -- here's from my unanswered email to ATF's Baltimore SAC:
I have been told a subject of an FBI investigation was a Baltimore police officer assigned to the ATF  Gun Task Force.  I am further told the FBI advised the ATF SAC in Baltimore, and that this information was then shared with the subject. I am told the subject then made calls revealing he knew of this that were picked up on the FBI wire, including the name of the ATF source.
I suppose if LE finally decides to break down and contacts me back, I'll need to see if my eminently credible source insists on me protecting his name, which is what Mike V and I always did above all else.

I've had problems with Alan Keyes in the past. Not on this.

This seems like a project that could be organized to find and then help an honorable rep to write and introduce such a bill, and then to rally gun owners behind it. Now Everybody Read from This Page

NRA needs to spend more time getting out there among the people, and most importantly educating them, and offering the tools they need to be successful. [More]
The question becomes "Successful at what?" The Fairfax agenda will brook no dissent.

Sorry, but I won't be attending any meetings where the agenda is to help push for bump stock bans, erosions of due process and prior restraints. Ditto for throwing political support behind obvious lying squishes and frauds.

Back when I was an officer with the Westside Los Angeles NRA Members Council, NRA's state "grassroots coordinator"  (read "lackey for the Lairds") tried to shut down a meeting where we were calling Sacramento to urge proper action on a bill. I had to stand up and defy him, and tell him he did not have authority to dismiss us.  This was the same character who caused me to write a letter to then-ILA head James Baker because he was discouraging other gun groups from supporting our effort to petition John Ashcroft to enforce the Second Amendment by libeling us as "wild-eyed extremists." Hell, he was trying to strangle it in its crib. And when I stood down from being nominated for president, and instead endorsed someone who I believed could be more successful due to better name recognition, this was the same lickspittle wormtongue who threatened to sue the new president if he organized a public demonstration using the NRA name (which is the reason why a few years earlier I had opposed becoming a Members' Council and wanted to leave things at "affiliated club.")

NRA will always be fake grassroots because Wayne and Chris demand total control, something more than apparent by the way they make sure the Board will always be comprised of rubber stamps.

If you want to organize, do it locally with those of like mind and purpose. You're going to need to learn who you can count on anyway in your AO. Don't turn your back on opportunities to join in coalitions, but only if your goals are the same and never at the cost of losing your autonomy.

Just the Place for It

I'm mobilizing a Brooklyn-wide, youth-led movement for meaningful gun reform. [More]
What better place than a borough where the Sullivan Laws are in full effect? Just be careful getting there, kids.

Any bets retired NYPD "Only One" Eric is personally defenseless?

So much for wanting a dialog on guns.  Besides, what is there to say besides "¿Armas para que?"

An In-Your Face F-U

State's third production for our FOIA request on Fast and Furious is as devoid of anything resembling compliance as the first two. [More]

That's why we've been compelled to sue.

Tracy Schmaler. Now there's a statist flackette from the past. Figures they'd give her credence as the final word...

I need to see if I can write in more detail on this. I have so many irons in the fire it's tough finding time for everything that deserves it, and in this case, for whatever reason, reports on legalities typically don't generate the reader interest the red meat stories do -- even though they ultimately may prove more important.

Exclusive: The Children’s Crusade

From all this we see a new force emerging to take point where previous efforts to galvanize the citizen disarmament cause by an older generation of Demanding Moms have failed, a supposedly organic and spontaneous “children’s crusade” against guns (unsurprisingly bankrolled by some deep and shadowy pockets). Because its vocal media figureheads are “survivors” of the Stoneman Douglas incident, any criticism against their efforts and their tactics is now being excoriated as an “attack on schoolchildren.” [More]
My latest GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column looks at the exaltation of the totalitarian lobby's newest gun-grab rock stars.

And Your Point Is?

David Codrea writes on the Oath Keepers website that Eric Holder is “back trying to make murdered schoolchildren do for his goals what murdered Mexicans could not: Disarm countrymen he loathes.” [More]
Yeah?  And you have insider sources who've told you different?

This Mantala character is turning into quite the follower.  On the plus side, he got my name right this time (and into the Google "News" feed), plus it drives more eyeballs to the site, so I'll take it.

Bumblers All

From today on, we will begin the process of moderating all new and previously uploaded photos for the presence of guns.* Our terms and conditions will be updated to reflect this decision. Bumble is also making a $100,000 donation to March For Our Lives, the organization founded by the brave young survivors of the Parkland tragedy. We stand with them, and join them in working towards a non-violent future. [More]
Naturally there's an "Only Ones" exemption, because their behavior around the fairer sex is obviously so much more professional.

Oh, and look:
On Bumble, women always make the first move.
Queen bees and drones come to mind. I don't think that's accidental.

And if someone wants to game their system and tells them he (ze?) "identifies" as a woman...?  Talk about a "progressive" dilemma!

When I was single I was just never this desperate. It's pretty much the same reason I've never been tempted to pay for a whore -- too much self-respect. Anyone who would put up with any of this crap deserves exactly what he or she gets.

Now seems a good time to resurrect this.

Shannon Steps In It

She attacks a Jewish woman for getting a gun after she was doxxed by neo-Nazis, accusing her of paranoia ane white privilege. Hilarity ensues. [More]

As an aside, she's been at this for years, backed by all that Bloomberg money and regular media fanfare and she's only got 160K Twitter followers?  The new kids on the block amassed multiple times that in days. I bring it up because she's gotta realize she's no longer the star attraction and is desperately searching for renewed relevance.

While immersing myself in that thread, I came across a post that really says everything we need to know about these lemmings:

They demand we all be as cowardly and contemptible as they are. And they present that as superior virtue.

We're the Only Ones Just Following Orders Enough

“My stance, as an ATF agent, is if they say this is the law, I’m going to enforce it,” Martineck said, noting he personally believes no one but police and military should have assault weapons. [More]
That excuse didn't work at Nuremberg, oath-breaker...

Here's to the day when it doesn't work for you.

I Didn't Hear THIS on CNN

I don't know about blaming Obama/Holder, but it certainly warrants corroboration along with loads of questions about what was done about it, why, who made the decisions, and why we're just hearing of this now, and not from any LE or media sources.

New Anti-Gun ‘Study’ a Rehash of Same Old Lies

This is “huge”?  This is “bad news for the NRA”? It looks more like wishful thinking peppered with graphics designed to make it look like they’re dealing with facts. And when they get to facts we can check, claims start to fall apart. [More]
