What You Need to Know About the GAO Report

The Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists could not sound more triumphant. [More]

They're not that vocal on this:
Gene L. Dodaro became the eighth Comptroller General of the United States and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on December 22, 2010, when he was confirmed by the United States Senate. He was nominated by President Obama...
Why they leave these guys in positions of influence when they change administrations is beyond me. Any guesses on how long he's been colluding with the Dems and holding off to drop a supposed "bombshell" at just the right time?

This is admittedly a stretch, but anybody know if his wife, "the former Joan McCabe," has any relatives in government?

And for what it's worth, OMB disagrees and is calling shenanigans.

VCDL/GOA Sue on Lobby Day Gun Ban

UPDATE: Lib judge pounced on it and said "No." [More]

No word yet on an appeal.
---

Via email:
January 16, 2020 For immediate release BREAKING: GOA, VCDL Sue VA Governor over Lobby Day Gun Ban Springfield, VA – In response to Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s gun ban before Lobby Day, Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) announce the filing of an emergency injunction to overturn the governor’s illegal ban. Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior Vice President, stated the following: “Governor Northam is behaving like the royal governors who long preceded him. He has arrogantly and brazenly tried to restrict the rights protected to Virginians by the First and Second Amendments. “For this reason, Gun Owners of America is joining VCDL in asking the courts to issue an emergency injunction forbidding the enforcement of the Governor’s unlawful ban. The Lobby Day rally is held annually with thousands of participants and without incident. The only difference this year is that, in response to the Democrats’ attempt to eviscerate the Second Amendment, a much larger crowd is expected. “GOA is arguing that the Governor’s actions violate the Virginia and U.S. Constitutions, as well as, a 2012 state law which strictly limits the governor’s ability to ban guns in a state of emergency.” The complaint can be viewed here:

So what does this have to do with plastic bricks? Easy. If you don't have a $500 Chinese mill & a $100 hunk of aluminum, or a $550 3-D plastic printer, it's off to the gun dealer with you, right? Maybe. Or maybe you can dig into your kids' toy box, sit at your kitchen table, and build an AR lower out of the plastic building bricks you already have in your house. So - we offer you a sixth choice in the route to owning an AR. You don't need a $500 piece of equipment to make aluminum chips or plastic shapes, and you don't have to walk down to your gun shop. You need some ABS glue, some time, and a lot of plastic bricks and patience. [More]

Whatever It Takes?

Our campaign stands ready to do whatever it takes to stop the bastardaziation of our constitutional rights. [More]
Whatever?
IMMIGRATION AND BORDER SECURITY: There is already a southern border wall, it needs to be improved and repaired. The data shows that we have too many illegal immigrants coming into the country that are causing the court system and jails to be substantially overloaded and consequently costing taxpayers substantial amounts of money to deal with the problem. The immigration process needs to be fixed to review and expedite cases.
So-- not a word about those already here, "amnesty," a "pathway to citizenship" and "birthright citizenship"? Not a word about how the "legal" cheap labor side of things creates the same dangers?

I look at that statement coming from someone with an obvious capability to indulge in fiery rhetoric when he wants to, and I wonder how it differs in essence from Michael "fixing the broken immigration system" Bloomberg's.

If that's the best the guy can do, forgive me for invoking Fletcher.

By Popular Demand

To create a system where every vote counts equally, the Constitution must be amended. To do this, Congress should pass legislation reducing the size of Washington, D.C., to an area encompassing only a few core federal buildings and then admit the rest of the District’s 127 neighborhoods as states. These states — which could be added with a simple congressional majority — would add enough votes in Congress to ratify four amendments: (1) a transfer of the Senate’s power to a body that represents citizens equally; (2) an expansion of the House so that all citizens are represented in equal-sized districts; (3) a replacement of the Electoral College with a popular vote; and (4) a modification of the Constitution’s amendment process that would ensure future amendments are ratified by states representing most Americans. With GOP support, Florida Senate panel backs closing gun show loophole [More]

By making "lesser of two evils" excuses and urging everyone to heed the voice of "pragmatism," GOP backstabbers and squishes have been rewarded for betrayals instead of punished. Had some prominent examples been made just a few times decades ago, followed by repeat examples when warranted, the line would be toed if not out of principle then out of self-preservation.

Instead, the longterm was sold out for the short term and we got phony "A" grades for conmen whose actions never lived up to their pledges. Did anyone really think most Republicans actually supported us, as opposed to had to suck up to us? And once they see they don't need to, did anyone really believe such creatures would stand by us?

You don't need to lobby real leaders to do what's right. They're already out in front of it and leading the charge.

That said, having spent 16 years in a past life producing directives for a defense contractor specializing in satellite navigation and communications, I fully agree with the concept being promoted, and have, on occasion, advocated using social media "for C3I purposes" instead of "trivial" ones.

A quote would be in order:

"Communications are the nervous system of the entire SAC organization, and their protection is therefore, of the greatest importance. I like to say that without communications, all I control is my desk, and that is not a very lethal weapon." Gen. T.S. Power, CINCSAC, May 1959
