Who's the Boss?

Nikole Hannah-Jones, 1619 Project creator and professor, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that parents should not be in charge of deciding what is taught in schools. [More]

If we can't believe a racist fraudster, who can we believe? Next thing you know we'll be telling the servants they have no say in the number of horses and hounds we can have.

Blame the Victim

A surge in new gun owners and a spike in gun thefts from cars are contributing to the city's gun violence crisis, police and experts say. [More]

I may tear this one apart later this week.

Captains Dunsel

More than 120 retired US Generals and Admirals wrote Joe Biden. In the letter, they questioned his mental fitness and cognitive abilities. They also mentioned the evidence that voter fraud may have played a large part in his winning of the election. The group confronted the FBI and the Supreme Court for ignoring, what they say, is irrefutable evidence of fraud. [More]

Who the blazes is Captain Dunsel?

They'd never make it in today's military.

UPDATE: This one was nagging at me and sure enough, the story is from May. There are a number of websites out there aimed at "conservatives" that basically recycle the reporting of others to get clicks, and it looks like anything I get hereafter from this website will call for extra scrutiny.

Speaking of the Opiate of the Masses...

... we must understand that the main aim of each Christian community is to rally Christian believers around the CCP and the government. [More]

Here we call 'em "faith communities"...

Funny, how they get a pass on rendering unto Caesar, but I suppose they give him a different kind of tribute.

Here There Be Monsters

Steven Kim, You’s attorney, said in a statement in November 2019 that prosecutors had branded “an emotionally fragile young woman a monster to the entire world, further traumatizing her.” [More]

That's one of the surest ways to get canceled these days -- telling monsters what they are...

Fool Me Once

Mansfield Timberview Shooting Suspect Arrested for Bond Violation [More]

Hey, it's not like he followed government provocateurs into the Capitol or anything...

The Neverending Story

Pfizer booster’s ability to prevent symptomatic COVID wanes within weeks [More]

So the jabs are neverending?

As an aside, I thought Nighthobs like Fauci rode their bats...

In any case, some of us can forget about any kind of flying:

"A vaccine requirement for a person getting on the plane is just another level of getting people to have a mechanism that would spur them to get vaccinated; namely, you can't get on a plane unless you're vaccinated, which is just another one of the ways of getting requirements, whatever that might be," Fauci said.

---
UPDATE: And there's another unforeseen neverending cost in getting the impressionable to believe in fantasy:
The nation’s recent lockdown policies and mask mandates will create a generation of children who exhibit lower IQs and signs of social brain damage...
I guess that's one way to ensure a Democrat majority...

Merry Christmas, 2021

I thank all of you who have given me the gift of your time and wisdom, whether it has been by sending me stories to help illustrate the preciousness of rights endowed by our Creator, to sending a word of encouragement, to educating and helping me grow (either by confirming or correcting my assumptions), or to sharing my links, encouraging me to continue the work.

My Christmas wish for you is that you have as much love in your life as I have been fortunate to find in mine. It surely beats all the riches in the world.

Now: What in the world are you doing here?

It's Christmas. And if you don't celebrate it, indulge those of us who do.

Go be with the ones you love. If there is no one you love, go fix that. Go do something loving for someone.

Merry Christmas.

‘May Issue’ Permits Make Discriminatory ‘Pay-to-Play’ Concealed Carry Inevitable

The fact is, “may issue” permits generally mean “may not,” and make “pay-to-play” and/or currying favor with the elites inevitable, as we’ve seen prove out many times over the years. [More]

So come on down to Loonie Laurie's where our prices won't be beat -- and if you have one of our permits, neither will you! Be sure and ask about our "Buy One Get One Free" Twofer Tuesday Special!

Food Fight!

So for more effective gun-grabber propagandizing to the family at Christmas dinner, you should stifle your inherent urge to shriek and then smile as you lie? [Watch]

Sorry, "star."We can't agree that "more than 40,000 people are killed BY a gun every year." If you need that explained, you need to take some prerequisites before you're ready for a real conversation-- but I suspect you know exactly what you're doing.

And "something has to be done"? Like what?

Then there's "You believe her Second Amendment right is non-negotiable." That must be why the grabbers just issue obey-or-die mandates.

And my personal favorite, "No one is looking to take your guns away!"

Some of us are on to what you elitist "97 Percenters" are trying to do, and unlike your useful idiot supporters, we're not fooled.

Besides, I'm kind of picky about who I invite over, and fortunate that there is no "woke" divide in my family.

Help Wanted

Received by email from Cavalier Knight:

On December 07, 2021, the Appellate Division, 1st Judicial Department just agreed with Appellee’s argument that “as-applied” to my business and “Federal Firearms Licensees (01).” All “Federal Firearms Licensees (01)” must open a “brick & mortar” store before they can apply for a state “Firearms Dealer’s License.”

And Appellees can use “Title 38 - R.C.N.Y. and/or NYC Administrative Code” to “preempt” the Supremacy Clause, federal, and state laws. By prohibiting “Federal Firearms Licensees (01)” in the City of New York. From selling firearms to “law-abiding” citizens “intrastate” at “gun shows.” Or “intrastate” and/or “interstate” via “mail-order” and/or “e-commerce” anywhere outside of the City of New York. Which strikes at the core of the “2nd Amendment” right. Please feel free to review my case files.

How is this any different than using a “poll tax” as a legal way to keep “African Americans” from voting in southern states? My case files can be viewed at my DropBox link below. Thank you for your kind consideration in this urgent matter.

Index No. 151725/20

Case No. 2020-04746

He'll need someone bigger than me to get legal assistance with this. If any of you have any inside contacts with the big "gun rights" groups and think they should pursue this for their members' benefits, why not contact them about it?

Life Imitates Art

The Speaker’s statement said that he will "consider re-posting a comprehensive package in January." [More]

I remember that scene:

On Demand

The National Foundation for Gun Rights is demanding that California Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta back down from their new legislative proposal which is designed to nullify the Second Amendment in California, and to create an unconstitutional bounty system to entrap gun owners.  [More]

He knows what it's designed to do, and he generally gets away with it. That's why he's doing it.

Bing! Went the Strings of His Heart

In a bizarre email exchange with the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, James Kraus, who acted as part of the prosecution team in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, wrote that he and prosecutor Thomas Binger are not—I repeat, NOT—having a homosexual affair. [More]

I'm reminded of a filthy joke about how you can tell if your roommate is gay that I dare not link to here. If you know the punchline, don't bother to comment.

Democrats Against Democracy

Gov. Tom Wolf vetoes curriculum transparency bill, calling it a ‘dangerous and harmful imposition’ [More]

So much for elected representatives expressing the will of the people...

Remember when Ann Richards wouldn't let Texans vote on carrying guns?

And yes, please, no one new here lecture me on "democracy."

Blaming the Victim

After the recent spate of retail thefts and looting, Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot chided businesses for not doing enough to protect themselves from theft. [More]

If you hadn't worn that short skirt you might not have been raped.

Besides, when they do more, they're accused of being racist.

Blast from the Past

If you have not read Jeff Snyder's "A Nation of Cowards," carve out the time to do so, and properly, with consideration and reflection. If it's been a while since you read it, rediscover its truths. [More]

Then use them.

There's another essay Snyder wrote that also deserves to be reintroduced, but I read it 20 years ago, and damn if I can remember the title. I'll subject myself to some bright lights and slap myself around a bit to see if I want to quit stalling and talk.

In my preliminary search for it, I did come across a contention and discussion from a few years back saying he used a false Madison quote. Not so. The quote may be false, but here's what Snyder wrote:

"As the Founding Fathers knew well, a government that does not trust its honest, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens with the means of self-defense is not itself worthy of trust."

That's not a quote and doesn't represent itself to be one, but is nonetheless a fair paraphrasing. NOC doesn't even mention Madison. And no, it hasn't been subsequently edited.

I know Facebook, Twitter, and Politifact don't have to worry about their "fact-checkers" knowing what the hell they're talking about, but if someone ostensibly on "our side" represents his conclusions as being the correct ones, I expect no less than what I demand of myself.

UPDATE: And holding myself to what I expect of myself, it appears a retraction and apology are in order: From me.

Be Careful What You Wish For

From Duty to be Armed to Permission to Carry [More]

This 2017 post by Publius Huldah cautions why we ought to take a look at what happens at the end before we join the headlong, enthusiastic, and unquestioning rush down the "reciprocity" chute.

O Canada

The current Canadian firearms legislation is some of the most restrictive in the world. Unlike our friends to the south, Canadians don’t lawfully carry handguns on their belts, in their nightstands, pockets, gloveboxes and purses. Police here don’t approach every person they encounter with the underlying assumption that the person is armed – either legally or illegally. Our legislation is quite effective. [More]

And with that attitude from the "pro-gun" side, you wonder why you people are screwed?

They're actually giving him kudos.

Do As She Says...?

Another One: Illinois Democrat Senator Carjacked, Gunshots Fired in Chicago [More]

The part I want to focus on is "it is unclear who fired the shots." Because if it was the "commonsense gun safety/Black Lives Matter" advocate...
