We're the Only Ones Feeling Great Enough

"It's a great feeling to know we've gotten all these guns off the street," said Sgt. Nishant Joshi , who helped distribute checks Saturday. "I think it does make a difference. Guns kill and hurt people, and the fewer guns, the safer we all are."
So if that's true, you're giving yours up, too, right Nishant? Maybe getting some Botox?

Or beer--that sounds like a great idea!

Oh, but I forget--you're an "Only One," with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.

Maybe you and Dave Kozicki can get together for a few laughs over how you have your guns. Talk about a great feeling!

Former police officer and Korean War veteran turns in his guns. "I don't need them anymore."
The "World War *I* is over" syndrome. "Throw all the firearms into the Channel. No one but criminals has need of them, now that the War to End All Wars is won! Huzzah!"
Adolf Hitler was 29 years old. Josef Stalin was 40.

SF GAte, where the story originated edits out pro second amendment comments within minutes of them being posted. They will allow the police to be insulted and denegrated but they will not allow hostility toward the buyback program, they will not allow you to suggest the common sense of being armed (in oakland in particular).

In short, the comments may not reflect the number, the demeanor or the views of the actual commentors - they deliberately skew for the agenda they seek.
