Be reasonable, David. You know those laws were only intended to stop those OTHER PEOPLE (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) from having guns.

I'm willing to give some of these people the benefit of the doubt. The important theme here is when they say, "I was never against having a gun, and if a person has a clean record he has the right to have a gun."* This is the sign of the inattentive citizen who was conned by overwhelmingly biased media and political propaganda. And you can argue that some people never see the light until it shines through the bullet holes, but you can also argue that personal verification is the most accurate way to discover actual truth. These people will never forget the sense of betrayal they experienced when they discovered how actual gun laws actually worked against them. Some small but important portion of this group will become our new gundamentalists.

*As opposed to that wackjob several weeks ago who wrote, "In an argument, can and have often logically dismantled any argument in favor of gun ownership. However, when I got sufficiently scared in quarantine, I bought one." Such hypocrites are hopeless.
