Along with a right to keep and bear arms goes a need to do so safely and responsibly.
IMHO, we need to put as much emphasis on the second as we do on the first. The alternative leaves the door open for our opponents to use "gun in handbag", "gun hidden in oven", and "the armorer told me it was cold" incidents against us.
