We're the Only Ones Who Will Blow Your F'n Head Off Enough

There are six videos in all. Start with the first one, here.

In the second, they ask him if he has hand grenades tell him a Tylenol is a narcotic and accuse him of being a liar.

They bust his chops about not letting them search the truck. They tell him a Tylenol 3 out of a pill case is a felony.

Winning death threat quote from video 4: "I'm goin' home."

Winning quote from video 6: "He's got a smart mouth....He's been bitchin' the whole time."

Per Ed Stone:
David,
Please check out the videos linked in this thread (obtained using the Open Records Act). There is a letter from the Chief apologizing linked later in the thread. Notice he does NOT apologize for the officer's gun pointing at his head.

Please note that Officer Mason, at the passenger window, has been present at several incidents where the Glynn County police harass citizens for carrying a pistol, and he was present weeks later when this driver was arrested in the parking lot of a mall for refusing to show his identification while carrying a pistol openly (I believe the police report from that arrest was posted on your blog).
I note some on "our side" are quick to disparage open carry as a taboo that scares too many people, and thus works against "us." I submit that unless and until freedom is normalized, people who choose to lawfully exercise their rights will continue to be endangered, and that courageous pioneers deserve our gratitude and support, not our criticism.

I also note that Glynn County PD Officers Nolen and Mason remind me of nothing so much as brownshirts . They behaved like the type of bullying thugs who say they demand respect, but unable to either show it to citizens they're hired to serve, or earn it from them, will settle for fear.

Such as these are why I continue with "the Only Ones" files.

That's unacceptable in my country, and I intend to let them know it.

UPDATE: There.

Wow. I'm sure this is just an "isolated incident."

It's nice how they manufacture probable cause and state it plainly for the video "I see what I think is a narcotic in the vehicle. Now I have probable cause." Also, looks like the 'only-one' talking to the detainee in the 6th clip has turned off his microphone. You can see his lips move, but hear nothing.

Does Glynn county have that much of a surplus that they want to pay settlements for this type of "only-one" behavior?

Maybe I should take the GA bar and move up there... seems like it would be ripe for the pickings.

I surely hope this man sues the hell out of them.

Should've asked this too... what's up with the way the first 'only-one' is holding his pistol??? Is that the gangbanger stance? Do cops hold their pistols sideways now???

These police seem to be individuals who may have gotten their butts kicked in high school and now it is their payback time. Their attitude is the polar opposite of professional. The response letter from the chief is phoney and was done only to try and cover HIS rear end. These are the rotten apples that spoil the reputation of the whole bunch. What happened to being held to higher standards?? Glynn county police scare me enough to never venture into their county and spend my hard earned money!!!

It's not rotten apples spoiling the bunch.

Police are not a bunch of apples.

They're a bunch of polished turds. The fact that we can see these particular individuals for what they are doesn't mean they're unusual, it just means they're obvious.

Something tells me these substandard gorillas were probably the ones beating kids up for lunch money in school, not the other way around.

In some states Tylenol 3 out of a prescription bottle IS a felony

I left a message for the Chief too.

Basically, if that is normal behavior for your deputies, that's the reason there is so little respect for Law and Lawmen today.

If he has 1/2 a brain, maybe he'll listen. Then again.

What's the deal with the half screen, green, and the buzz, is that the video or was it "sanitized" for public consumption?

I thought the prescription meds out of their container was a federal crime...those little 7 day pill organizers for the elderly and something about TSA involvement where I saw that, but haven't gone digging. It was a while back, and wouldn't surprise me in the least.

sickening.

Wow.
My advice - hire a good lawyer. Sue them and the government that continues to employ them for the maximum allowed under law. I am not a lawyer, but I see 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendment Rights violations. I do not need to be a member of the Georgia bar to understand what I saw in those vodeos. As a juror in a civil court, I would easily find for the plaintiff.
Words of advice I received many years ago. Ask "Am I free to go or am I under arrest?" If you are handcuffed, you are arrested, but make sure that they understand that you must clarly know your status. Once arrested, state that you want the benefit of qualified legal counsel before you respond to any further questions. Consent to nothing. Let them make mistakes. Sue them to to the maximum amount. Ask in open court for a protective order against the involved individuals as intentional violators of your civil rights. When the cost of the court suits becomes burdensome, changes will happen. You (and your attorney) will have earned your money.
The meek may inherit the earth, but the "smart mouths" will prevail in court.
Good Luck.

Any worthwhile police officer understands that any encounter may result in an escalation of violence. In this case, handcuffing the driver who was lawfully carrying a weapon on his person puts the officers at ease. Unfortunately, it is the drivers who do not openly carry or have a license to carry but have an unlicensed concealed weapon or are sufficiently trained and experienced in unarmed combat who present the greatest danger. If the handcuffed individual is a very bad person, he can still remove the handcuffs with a concealed handcuff key taped to his wrist, the small of the back, or inside his belt while he is unobserved. His associates in crime may be following in another vehicle and exterminate the two Barney Pfifes who are totally unprepared while caught up in their harassment of the driver and search of the vehicle.
Fortunately, these two clowns have been very, very lucky in their encounters with the world while in uniform.

The police were the ones who brought it up. This is a report on their actions.

Once they new administration is seated on Jan 20, we all need to write letters of complaint, demanding an investigation to the :
C ordination & review section
Civil Rights division
United States Department of Justice.

Google Justice Department for the contact address.
They have a unit that investigates LEOs.

This could happen to anyone ! Write a letter to the U.S Justice department and maybe reform will begin.
