We're the Only Ones Wrist-Slapped Enough, Eh?

Const. Mehrdad Mahmodian was sentenced to 30 days in custody this week after Ontario Court judge Neil Kozloff ruled he Tasered and kicked a suspect in an “extremely vulnerable” position, then created a “falsified” account in police notes and a use-of-force report ... Mahmodian has been suspended without pay. His fate as an officer will be decided at a professional misconduct tribunal, where his jail sentence means he faces a high likelihood of dismissal. [More]

I wonder why an 11-year veteran assumed he could get away with that. Any questions what his victim would have been sentenced to had the situation been reversed, and especially if he lied about it to authorities?

Being a low-level thug pays pretty good up there. I don't suppose they'll expect him to help pay for the costs of legal proceedings that have been going on for over a year?
