The point of the story was that "end cash bail" doesn't mean "turn them all loose," sometimes it means "keep them locked up indefinitely." This makes the logic really convoluted. And the story doesn't help by trying to pretend that Aggravated ADW is a "nonviolent felony." The best argument here should start from Eighth Amendment guarantees.
