I'm not completely down with this. For instance, saying "Guns Don’t Beget Violence, Poverty and Despair Do" disregards all the people who gave experienced true poverty without welfare nets and did not resort to brutally victimizing others -- my grandparents and parents among them, who maintained high standards of morality and personal expectations and worked hard to care for their families, provide examples of principled conduct to their children, and elevate their stations in life.
What do you want to bet your average gangbanger "owns" a more expensive pair of sneakers and phone than I do?
I'm not going to give evil, "entitled" losers a phony excuse as an out.
