Head Fakes

That's the sort of fake news source being complained about of late by establishment, mainstream media salaried journalists, those California Democratic US Senator Dianne Feinstein calls "real reporters." Problem is, "real reporters" are the usual fake news sources -- especially regarding contentious issues like firearms. [More]
And it's often not just due to incompetence but intent, which is why I've begun using the term DSM (Duranty/Streicher Media) more and more.

"Authorized Journalists/Real Reporters/Legitmate News Media" Defending the Stone Wall

Anyone who argues that the statement the sister of Brian Terry put out isn't news -- after Eric Holder once more stonewalled the investigation -- is simply not credible, and is carrying water for those hiding things.  Those are the people I call "Authorized Journalists/Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists." Diane Feinstein and Joe Biden respectively call them "real reporters and "legitimate news media."

Once again they are failing to inform. See for yourself: There are plenty of hits on Kelly Terry-Willis' name on a regular web search -- but a NEWS search produces only one result, and that should be an object lesson to all on shameful media complicity/sins of omission.

She sent her statement out two days ago, and being a one-man operation, I needed to wait until yesterday to make time for it. What excuse do "news" organizations, with staff and resources, have for not reacting by or even before now? As you can also see, just like with the Reese family and so many stories, if this is to get out, we can't rely on anyone but ourselves.

Will it get out?

That's out of my hands now.  It's in yours.

If Eric Holder has his way, the answer will be "No."

Authorized Journalists,, Texas-Style

Texas House Speaker Joe Straus wants a committee of journalists to decide which reporters are “legitimate” so the Legislature can limit Capitol access to sufficiently apolitical reporters. [More]
And who better than "real reporters/legitimate news media" to do that?

Straus, of course, is a "moderate Republican," that is, either a tool or the actual enemy.

Bullet Points

An Arizona ammunitions company this week announced that it will send one million bullets to Ukraine following calls from Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky for more ammunition. [More]

"Real reporters"!

I also see some complaining about this because of the ammo situation here.

I support it. Real human beings are defending themselves and their homes in real-time. With everything that's been going on around us for years, if you don't have the supplies you deem adequate, that's not on anyone else.

In Strictest Confidence

This should be a no-brainer. Jana voted with her feet and chose to live and work in the most First Amendment-friendly state in the union. She should be protected by New York law. If she is not, then all reporters will lose their confidential sources, and all Americans will be in the dark when whistleblowers know awful truths but are unwilling to pay the price of public revelation. [More]
I know Mike and I were committed to being jailed before revealing our sources. We still are.

You're just going to have to trust me when I tell you that people have no idea what went on behind the scenes of this, and the fears that went with it.

That's a big reason why I am so ruthlessly critical of the whole concept of "Authorized Journalists,"  especially when tyrants like Feinstein presume to define "real reporters" and tools like Biden blather on about "legitimate news media."

If left to the national socialists, the only alternative would be resurrecting the White Rose.

The Least Trusted Names in News

What is most striking about this weapon is that — like the campaign to agitate for more censorship — it is led by journalists. It is the corporate media that most aggressively insists that those who are independent, those who are outsiders, those who do not submit to their institutional structures are not real journalists the way they are, and thus are not entitled to the protections of the First Amendment. [More]

You don't say...

Authorized Journalists...

Real Reporters...

Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists...

The DSM by any other name...

And if you correctly label them Lügenpresse they'll use their mass media platforms to cancel you for being a Nazi...

Sean Penn owning guns after domestic violence plea raises legal questions

What Penn is even doing with guns in the first place is a mystery, if the reports are true that when partnered with Madonna, he tied her to a chair and beat her up with a baseball bat. The Lautenberg amendment prohibition on gun ownership applies to those convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence, and according to the New York Daily News, “Penn was also charged with felony domestic assault during his marriage to Madonna. He pleaded to a misdemeanor.” [More]

As usual, all the “real reporters” missed the real story. Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report asks how someone with a Lautenberg gun prohibition can have 65 guns to melt down in the first place. Perhaps it would make for a good Five Minute Activism project to ask @ATFHQ...

Taking a Stab at All Oath Keepers

Foreman is also affiliated with the Oath Keepers, according to Gionet. The Oath Keepers, a group comprised largely of former law enforcement officers and military veterans, often provides security for far-right protesters and at demonstrations in support of Trump. The group has been described as “one of the largest radical anti-government groups” in the country, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks domestic extremists and hate groups. [More]
Nice of "real reporters" James Queally and Matt Pearce to take SPLC at their word for it (because the FBI no longer does), as opposed to, I don't know, doing some "real reporting." You know, maybe asking someone in leadership about that allegation, or asking themselves how a group largely comprised of current and former government employees, who take an oath to the Constitution and exclude from membership any seeking the overthrow of the United States, can be "anti-government."

But then again, that wouldn't advance the narrative, would it?

If They Can Get You Asking the Wrong Questions....

Officials in Montgomery County, Ohio, blame America's opioid crisis for an ignoble title: the overdose capital of America. [More]
It took three "real reporters" to write that line of utter horse****?

I guess as long as the media runs interference for "officials" blaming effects instead of causes, real solutions can be ignored and the gravy/power train will keep on chugging.

Ain't that right, Mr. Pynchon?

‘Lanza gun shop’ violations report confirms old news, misses real story

Funny, though, how the “new” report fails to address how The Hartford Courant was ready to hit "publish" the second the raid team hit the doors. Perhaps that's not newsworthy, nor is the fact that ATF only seems to use an "ongoing criminal investigations" excuse when they want to stonewall Congress, as opposed to when they want to get some publicity that portrays themselves as heroes of public safety? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report shows the difference between professional "Authorized Journalists/legitimate media/real reporters" and mere unworthy #justabloggers.

Bloomberg continues debate-avoiding stealth media events with prop ‘gun owners’

The announcement hardly leaves enough time for gun rights activists hearing about the demonstrations now to mount counter-presences to the events. That is intentional. [More]

This afternoon’s Gun Rights Examiner report asks "What if you held a national conversation on guns and didn’t tell the side that’s FOR them?" And why aren’t you hearing about this from the “real reporters”?

Project Conwalker

ATF blew it and taxpayer-funded guns vanished into Mexico.  [More]

They didn't "blow it."

And we know about the two Kalashnikov pistols, but I am not recalling any evidence that the rest weren't paid for by "straw purchasers." Take a few minutes and read our report. This is the kind of stuff we were routinely putting out there and having ignored. Perhaps it will help explain the level of contempt I have for so many "real reporters" who either wouldn't touch the story or else dismissed it, twisted it, and lied about it to help shield the guilty.

As for the speculation that power-hungry Democrat control freaks (but I repeat myself) may be creating and exacerbating deadly problems to advance their agenda, yes, that is what they do. Why not release predators to terrorize the herd into demanding more controls that only "government" can provide?

We're the Only Ones Following Proper Protocol Enough

A school’s spokesperson said the security officer followed the proper protocol to ensure everyone’s safety. [More]
No doubt he wanted to make it home at the end of his shift, and you never can tell about those second-graders.

Say, "real reporters," how come we know the name  of the kid and the name of his mother, but...

Is there any doubt that if you handcuffed your kids as a means of discipline, not only would you be subject to "child protective services"-ordered arrest and prosecution for felony child endangerment, but they could throw domestic violence charges at you as well, and make you a double-"prohibited person."  Not that I've ever heard of anyone stupid enough to do and defend something thisunwarranted and cowardly, besides Brave Officer School Safety (BOSS) and the nameless Public School Hireling (PSH).

Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before

U.S. guns are responsible for Mexican crime! [More]

Funny, there's something kind of obvious these "real reporters" neglect to even mention.

Lie, rinse, repeat.

This line kind of stuck out:
Nine of those were women and some were housewives and mothers.
I can't help but wonder about political affiliations and sympathies...

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Ironic' Is

It seems ironic coming from gun control advocates. But law enforcement agencies across Washington state are looking into threats to kill county sheriffs who have said they will not enforce last year’s gun control measure... [More]
It's not ironic to anyone who has been paying attention to how violent and irrational some of these gun-grabbing lunatics are.

Which I guess automatically excludes "real reporters"...

Still "AWOL"

I checked the MAIG city roster a moment ago just to make sure this is still current.

Funny, how no "real reporters" from "legitimate media" thinks this is even worth mentioning.

Maybe that's why they're "Authorized Journalists."

Come to think of it, the title of this post applies to them more than it does to de Blasio.

Life Sentences Upheld

The Supreme Court Monday declined to take a challenge to a Wisconsin law banning state residents who have been convicted of felonies – including non-violent crimes – from owning handguns for the rest of their lives...The question of whether states can ban non-violent felons from owning guns has repeatedly come up at the Supreme Court but remains unanswered. The justices declined to take up three similar challenges earlier this year, allowing to stand lower court rulings that upheld similar state laws. One of those cases involved a man who had pleaded guilty to selling counterfeit cassette tapes in the 1980s. [More]

Well, not just "handguns," but we're dealing with "real reporters" here.

Funny, what can constitute a "non-violent crime"...

Let's hear it for "gun rights leaders" who urge government to "Enforce existing gun laws"!

And thanks again, "conservative" justices!
