This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.

Bucking widely held notions about municipal inefficiency, workers from the city Department of Transportation descended on the display less than 24 hours later — around 10 p.m. Saturday — to cover up the message with black, according to the attendee ... Even while personally helping plaster that message on public property, de Blasio has nixed efforts to paint a similar display reading “Blue Lives Matter” in support of cops ... The NYPD confirmed that a criminal mischief complaint had been filed over the incident and that an investigation is ongoing... [More]

As long as she's bringing up analogies, anyone who needs that many arrows to win doesn't have any business voting.
And as long as we're being consistent:
Just dug up this clip of Obama in 2016:
"When there is a vacancy on the SCOTUS, the President is to nominate someone, the Senate is to consider that nomination... There's no unwritten law that says that it can only be done on off-years. That's not in the Constitution text." pic.twitter.com/vrOi3DrkJN
"I would go forward with the confirmation process as chairman. Even a few months before a presidential election... just as the Constitution requires." pic.twitter.com/r0WVdlitOK
With concerns rising in Pennsylvania that tens of thousands of mail-in ballots will be discarded in the presidential election over technicalities, officials in the presidential battleground told counties they aren’t allowed to reject a ballot solely because an election official believes a signature doesn’t match the one in the voter’s file. What, you mean if the Senate adheres to lawful powers delegated in the Constitution you're going to engage in insurrectionary violence? Isn't that why the Founders delegated responsibility to put that down to "the Militia of the several States" comprised of citizens bearing “ordinary military equipment” intended to be taken into “common defense” battles?
The guy inciting insurrection is an Islamic "refugee" who fled Iran. I still haven't figured out how admitting foreign nationals with such views complies with the mandate of government to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."

LIARS! The goal was for an influencer of presumed spiritual authority to target and subject children to manipulated sexuality and blasphemy -- and to rub the faces of Christians in it. The goal was and is the supremacy of evil.

That's not good enough for totalitarians, who by definition want it all.

The Hawai'i Federal District Court has issued an opinion in Teter v. Connors that guts the Second Amendment. This is just in-your-face, and the Ninth hardly fills the heart with hope. Neither does SCOTUS, for that matter, with its inclination to let Intolerable Acts stand simply by doing nothing. It doesn't matter how well-argued and logical a case is, those in "authority" bent on tyranny are not going to relent until there is a credible "or else" attached to a demand to back off.

What We Know About the Killing of Breonna Taylor [More]
What an intolerable travesty. In many ways, particularly with the "Vision Russell" aspect, it reminds me of the corrupt execution of Donald Scott. And as always, the ones paying for it -- the tax cows -- are the ones who didn't do anything.
That's why "conservatives" aren't doing themselves any favors with mindless "Back the Blue" pandering. They wouldn't be called "Only Ones" if they weren't immune from much of what they'd kill us for.
If occasional "no-knock" raids help facilitate officer safety, blatant abuse of it is what brought votes to ban the practice about.
UPDATE: Well, this certainly puts a counterpoint to what the "news" has been telling us and gives what appears to be credible information to warrant rethinking some assumptions:
This is a purported court motion filed by the defense for J. Alexander Kueng, one of the officers charged along with the others for the death of George Floyd:
In re whether this is real or a hoax, while I haven't been able to find a copy of this document accessible from the Minnesota Judicial Branch records access webpage ( I believe a document request is needed but haven't driven deeper into that process), I was able to find a corresponding entry for that case on that date:
Not that I'm excusing or condoning anything, but I do wonder if some now "protesting " in George Floyd's name would have rabidly joined in the deed themselves had they known.

Uncounted Primary Ballots Were Just Miraculously Found ... Because of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, election officials received 28,062 mail-in ballots. There were another 2,126 provisional ballots.
