Now That's Funny

Gunwalker Johnny-come-latelies helping to give Holder an escape route

That’s it? And this is supposed to do what to a dominating, radical agenda-driven career belligerent, backed by his president, his party and his press, who demonstrates his ongoing smirking contempt for their impotence with each day’s continued stonewalling? [More]

Considering Smarm

Oh, I see what she's doing--taking anecdotes and then making pictures with a gun in them to misdirect the blame through an appeal to ignorance-based emotions.

I can't reproduce any of her stupid crap here because of a rather restrictive and anally-stated use and duplication policy (funny how the ones who cause all the problems with guns would show no respect for her intellectual, physical or primordial property rights if it suited their purposes to take any damn thing they wanted from her), but I can point you to plenty of pictures where there are no guns--and more's the pity.

These bleeding heart herbivore types never consider the harm they do in their self-righteous benightedness.

Project GunTALKER

Mark Walters has posted last night's Armed American Radio program.  I came on at the end of Hour 2 and stayed on for the Hour 3 "Roundtable."

Hour 1:
Fresh from the floor of the NRA annual conventions, back in the AAR Atlanta studio, Mark welcomes Niki Goesser, Stephanie Samford, and David Bray.  Niki gives us the latest news on her husbands murderer’s trial and conviction.  Stephanie, from the NRA gives us the update on the convention from St. Louis and David Bray, lead singer of rock band Madison Rising discusses the bands joint appearance at Galco Gunleather with Mark, Kathy Jackson and Rob Pincus.
Hour 2:
HUGE HOUR! Mark received a call from famed economist, author and Fox News Contributor, Dr. John Lott who was in between flights in Chicago. John and Mark discuss his new book, “Debacle” co-written with Grover Norquist. John pulls no punches discussing the failure of Obama and his policies as well as ties everything together with this president’s gun-hating agenda. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!
Hour 3:
The Roundtable includes David Codrea and a very special call from AAR resident Navy SEAL, Larry Yatch!!!  David and Larry bring expertise found nowhere else!  The AAR Roundtable….the FUNNEST hour in national radio!

Oh no, this gentleman informed me (and I didn’t get his name, sorry, he split while I was fussing with my computer). Chris Cox had been on top of the situation for a year before David and Mike jumped in and used the information Cox had gathered to write their posts. [More]

Vanderboegh Medical Update

I finally got through to Mike a few minutes ago, after earlier calls to his phone, his wife's and the hospital room went unanswered and left me worried.

His response to my asking how he is:
I've been better. They haven't killed me yet.
He was tired but alert. I filled him in on some of what's been going on and passed along well-wishes that many of you, his friends, have asked me to share with him.

All in all, happy news.

‘Gunwalker’ suspect arrested for cocaine month before ATF released him

Now, Gun Rights Examiner has obtained a copy of the April 2 Phoenix Police Department arrest reports for Celis-Acosta and his alleged accomplices from a source who has provided corroborated documents in the past. Of note: A handgun was seen being thrown out of the suspects’ car before police arrested them, Celis-Acosta was “arrested for possession of narcotics, Class Four felony” for a substance that “field tested positive to cocaine,” and arresting officers reported finding “multiple shell casings on the passenger seat and the floorboard on the driver side and passenger side.” [More]

The New Scarlet Letter

A regressive propagandist is trying to tag Matthew Bracken with the "R-word." [Read]

We had this conversation here almost four years ago. Why this is being resurrected now is interesting, and I suppose we can expect to see that brush used to tar those of us who have enjoyed and endorsed Matt's work.

It's a curious double standard. For instance, in a prior award-nominated work of disaster fiction (one the "liberal press" deemed "wildly entertaining" and "a work in the grand tradition") the subject of cannibalism practiced by some of the characters did not result in such accusations. Gee, I wonder why.

Anyway, prepare yourself for some opportunistic feigned indignation and name-calling. As I told Matt when he called the pending article to my attention:
Looks to me like you're handling it just fine--the guy has an obvious agenda to tear you down in front of his progressive echo chamber--and I doubt it will sell any books--so your only incentive to play is to get your words in, which his fanboys will ignore. But if you do decide to do a Q&A, the one thing I would make loud and clear is that it would be cowardly and racist to avoid the issues you raise--kind of like when Hollywood changed Tom Clancy's Arab terrorists to neo-Nazis in "The Sum of All Fears"--political correctness is a form of tyranny, and is racist on its face--you won't play that game. If he thinks it is improbable for people of any race to devolve into unspeakably brutal practices when their daily survival is at stake, it's up to him to substantiate that loopy conclusion--and urban areas will be the ones where high demand competition for resources will quickly separate the sheep from the wolves--and a gang predator hierarchy already exists there, so guess who's going to dominate, and guess how important a role moral constraints will play in their conduct?
I'll say this much more: I've been communicating with Matthew Bracken for years, and in all that time he has never uttered a remotely racist sentiment--not a name, not an observation, not a joke...and I do not maintain relationships with anyone who does.  Everybody I know and like treats others based on what their actions as individuals merit.

It's not people like us trying to disarm and further restrict the rights of the minority community, or using that as an excuse to disarm everyone else.  It's the ones pointing their fingers.
